Paul Giorgio, owner of Pagio's, Inc. publisher of the Pulse Magazine and producer of The Taste of Shrewsbury Street, Worcester's Restaurant Week, and other events has announced a new event "Canalloween, a Nightmare on Water Street."
The event is planned for Saturday, October 27 starting with a children's Costumed 1K at 2:30 PM followed at 3 PM with "The Scary Monster Dash 5K Road Race" along the Canal Diggers Road Race route through the Canal District starting on Temple Street near the AOH.
At 4 PM a Halloween Parade will start at the Water Street Municipal Lot and proceed down Water Street to Kelley Square. Paul reports that the parade will include two marching bands, the Halloween Outlet vehicles, a horse drawn wagon with a band, and 200 choreographed Zombies.
Bars and restaurants will be provided signs and posters to promote the event and all business and property owners are asked to get into the spirit with decorations, menu and drink specials, and Halloween Costume Parties and events. We expect a surge of families around the dinner time Parade.
Piagio will promote the event but businesses must promote from within to maximize the benefit. Paul can be contacted at 508-756-5006 or pgiorgio [at] pagioinc [dot] com with any questions. Visit http://www.canalloween.com/ for event updates.
