Have Popcorn with NEADS Prison Pups!
We want you to help us have a party!
We'll give you all you need to host a movie event
all you need to add is the people and the popcorn!
We'd like to send you filmmaker Alice Bouvrie's new documentary
Prison Pups (a 58 minute documentary) for you to screen with some
of your friends and colleagues. All you need to add is
the popcorn. We will send you all the materials; just invite your
friends and enjoy this very special behind- the-scenes glimpse into
the life of four inmates at New England Correctional Center, a
minimum-security facility in Concord, MA as they raise and train
our service dogs.
By taking on the responsibility of caring for a puppy, the inmates
develop self-confidence and the capacity for nurturing and
affection. They experience a profound sense of empowerment and self-
renewal, poignantly revealed when one of the inmates meets his
dog's owner when he comes to visit the prison.
This film won Best Documentary Award and has been the official
selection at several other festivals. We offer it to you to enjoy,
with people of your choice, so that we can raise awareness of this,
our very special program. Ms. Bouvrie has won several awards and
she has graciously made it available for us to send to you.
We will send you all you need to have a private screening
