Local Co-Owner and Operator of Pine Acres Family Camping Resort is Elected ARVC Foundation Chairman

Oakham, MA (January 21, 2007) – Randy Packard, former Chairman of the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds and Vice-Chairman of the ARVC Foundation has been elected Chairman of the ARVC Foundation. Co-owner and operator of the newly renovated Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in Oakham, Massachusetts, Packard, replaces Chuck Hays who served as Foundation chairman for 2 years. Packard’s appointment was announced at the National Camping Industry’s annual InSites Convention & Expo in Orlando, FL.
“Randy has served as an active member of the ARVC Board and Foundation for many years. It is without a doubt that he will succeed in his new role as Chairman of the ARVC Foundation,” said Linda Profaizer, ARVC President.
As Chairman, Packard will work closely with industry leaders and the Foundation’s Board of Trustees to support the Foundation’s existing fundraising programs, develop new funding opportunities, oversee the financial stability of the organization, and evaluate the programs the Foundation chooses to underwrite and champion.
The ARVC Foundation is a non-profit organization (501c3) funded by sponsorships, voluntary contributions, planned giving and fundraising activities. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide educational opportunities to RV Park and campground owners and operators. The Foundation also supports legislative and promotional programs on behalf of the camping and outdoor hospitality industry in the U.S, undertaking pertinent research and providing professional park operators and their teams with innovative professional development tools.
