New Programming Line Up at WICN
January 26, 2007
Part of WICN’s ongoing goal is to keep all our listeners happy and excited about our programming. As part of this process we are extremely pleased to have two brand new shows to offer to our listeners. The first is The Latin Jazz Beat which airs on Friday nights from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. Veteran radio host Jaime Flores takes you on a wild ride through the intoxicating sounds of Latin Jazz. Dance and party the night away to music from Poncho Sanchez, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D'Rivera, Tito Puente and more.
On Saturday mornings we are also proud to present the Saturday Swing Session, hosted by Howard Caplan. Can’t get enough of Ella, Sinatra, Armstrong and Basie? On The Saturday Swing Session, we can’t either! Start your weekend off right, with all of your favorite swing artists, together again for two solid hours of hot rhythms and cool sounds. From the great Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller, to legendary crooners like Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, to today’s stars like Harry Connick, Jr., Diana Krall and Michael Bublé, host Howard Caplan brings you the best of both yesterday’s and today’s swing and jazz standards. You’ll have a “swinging good” time! The show runs from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.
We invite you to add these two shows to your list of favorites here at WICN.
The year has only just begun, but here at WICN we have some wonderful plans already in place for you, so keep tuned in. From the Brown Bags to Jazz at Sunset and a few extra concerts in between there is always music in the air.
